The story of this jar
Honey is the oldest throat-soother there is; the World Health Organization still lists it among the simplest options for a cough. Throat Honey starts there and adds the subcontinent’s own supporting cast — mulethi (licorice), sonth, thyme, Ceylon cinnamon, clove and black pepper — in a dark, robust multiflora honey.
It is the jar for smoggy Lahore mornings, teachers’ staffrooms, azaan at Fajr in January. One slow spoon, or stirred into warm water with a squeeze of lemon.
The Khalis method
Built in the Khalis kitchen: raw honey as the base, tradition as the recipe.
- Whole herbs and spices, stone-ground in-house
- Folded cold into raw honey — never heated, never extracted
- Mixed in small weekly batches, dosed by weight
Why this jar
Honey first, herbs second
The base itself is the remedy — dark raw multiflora, never heated. The herbs sharpen it.
Mulethi the classic
Licorice root has been the subcontinent’s voice-and-throat herb for centuries — a proper amount, not a trace.
Winter-shelf staple
Most customers pair it with Immunity Honey from November to February.
How to take it
- One slow teaspoon straight, let it coat the throat — don’t chase it with water.
- Or stir into warm water with lemon as a soothing evening drink.
- For rough mornings: one spoon after Fajr, before the day starts talking.

Questions, answered
Does honey actually help a sore throat?
Honey is one of the oldest and best-studied home options for throat comfort and cough — the WHO lists it among simple remedies for children over one. Throat Honey adds mulethi, thyme, clove and cinnamon to that base. It is a food, not a medicine; see a doctor for anything persistent.
What does Throat Honey taste like?
Dark and warming — the multiflora honey is robust, the mulethi adds natural sweetness and the clove and pepper leave a gentle heat at the end.
Can I give it to my children?
Yes, over the age of one year — a small spoon is a classic gentle option for kids. Never give any honey to infants under 12 months.
How is it different from cough syrup?
It is not a syrup and makes no medical claims — it is raw honey with traditional throat herbs, taken as food. Nothing synthetic, no added sugar.
